The removal of pathogens microorganism from the processed wastewater, is very important, in order for the users to be able to use this water for irrigation purposes. This can provide watering supplies from the treated wastewater saving the users from spending big amounts of clean potable water for irrigation applications.

The removal of the pathogens from the treated wastewater, can be performed either by using ultraviolet (UV) light or by compination with the use chorine solutions as disinfectant means (NaOCl).
